Night Sky Productions presented the first Danse Macabre at Cattivo in 2015, featuring two floors of gothic industrial bands and DJs plus a kick-ass costume contest. We took a year off in 2016, but now we’re back for round two, and we’ve teamed up with Requiem, Cattivo’s monthly goth/industrial night.

This year, the band lineup includes national acts!

* From Baltimore, we have Ego Likeness on Metropolis Records. This electronic rock/ darkwave band was formed in 1999 and features the vocals of Donna Lynch and the guitar and production of Steven Archer, with live drummers Mike K Johnson and Mindcage Rick (Mindless Faith, Chemlab).

* From Charlottesville, Virginia, we have The Rain Within on Negative Gain. This synthwave project features Andy Deane from Bella Morte and Mike K Johnson, one of Ego Likeness’ live drummers.

* From Austin, Texas, we have Adoration Destroyed, a goth pop band on Cleopatra Records featuring vocals and production by Erik Gustafson, guitarist for 16volt.

* A bit closer to home, we have the Pennsylvania project Red Lokust, an electro industrial collaboration between Jim Semonik (Distortion Productions/Rein[Forced]/Electronic Saviors) and Lee Lauer (Aslan Faction).

* And finally, we have Tragic Impulse, the Pittsburgh industrial project of Paul M Graham, signed to Distortion Productions, LLC.

There are also two floors of gothic/industrial dancing, featuring DJ Crashzer0 and DJ Eclipse – Pgh (current residents of Requiem), as well as DJ KellyADJ Callisto, and DJ TFS (all former residents of Obsidian and Ceremony).

All the DJs have many years of experience hosting goth/industrial Halloween events, so you can expect one of the best costume parties around, complete with voting by audience applause, cash prizes, and swag from local businesses.

This 21+ party runs from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and admission is $15 at the door or $12 in advance at http://dansemacabre2.bpt.me/
